Farm settings
To access Farm Settings in SharePoint On-Premises, follow these steps:
Using Central Administration:
- Open the SharePoint Central Administration site.
- This is typically accessible at a URL like
http://<server-name>:<port-number>(e.g.,http://sharepoint1:15000) if it was set up on the default port.
- This is typically accessible at a URL like
- In Central Administration, go to the System Settings section.
- Click on Manage Farm Features or Manage Servers in this Farm to view and configure farm-level settings.
Alternative Access:
If you are unable to locate the Central Administration site:
- Use the Windows Start menu, search for SharePoint Central Administration, and open it.
- Navigate to the settings as described above.
In these settings, you can choose:
- Where to show multiple file check in/out:
You can control where the multiple file check in/out functionality appears. For example, unchecking “Generic” will prevent the button from showing in lists. (to enable the selection, unmark “All”) - The limit of displayed files
- A default view type
- Enable CAML/filter view
- Show file size
