Installing the Virto Calendar web part
Before you begin, ensure you have access to the server and that your account has the necessary administrative privileges to install applications.
Download the package for your SharePoint version from the product page (Virto.SharePoint.SE.CalendarWebPart.zip, Virto.SharePoint.2019.CalendarWebPart.zip or Virto.SharePoint.2016.CalendarWebPart.zip) and unzip it (using “Extract All”). The package contains:
- Virto.SharePoint.Calendar.Setup — the setup program (SetupSE.exe for SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, Setup.exe for 2016 and 2019), the solution Virto.SharePoint.Calendar.wsp and, for 2019 and SE, the modern web part package virto-calendar.sppkg;
- Virto.WebLicenseManager — the Virto License Manager package.
Run the setup program on a SharePoint server as a farm administrator (right-click it and choose “Run as administrator”) and follow the wizard: system check, license agreement, web applications / site collections, installation.
The installation process is the same for all SharePoint versions. If you’re installing Virto ONE, follow the same steps.
The setup wizard window will appear.
The Virto Calendar setup wizard will perform a system check before the installation. Once all the checks have been completed, click “Next.”
Tick the checkbox “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” and click “Next.”
Select the web applications / site collections where you want to install the product, then click “Next.”
Wait for the product to install.
Click “Close” to complete the installation.
