Calendar Overlay Pro roles and permissions
There are two levels of permissions that are relevant to Virto Calendar Overlay.
First level: the permissions of the SharePoint site itself, set by the site administrator for user groups / specific users. Virto Calendar Overlay inherits these permissions.
Second level: the Virto Calendar Overlay permissions, whereby you can assign a user as a calendar manager who can modify calendar settings. Please go to the subpages to find out where to find these settings and how to configure them.
At the moment, when the tenant admin selects “Consent on behalf of your organization” and authorizes Virto Calendar Overlay, calendar permissions are the same for all users.
In this step, you will see a permissions request. Click “Login to Azure AD.”
If you have tenant administrator rights, check "Consent on behalf of your organization" and click "Accept." Alternatively, contact your tenant administrator to do this.
By checking this box, the administrator authorises all users in Azure so that each user does not get this permissions request pop-up all the time when using the app.
If you don't receive this alert message, just skip this step.
Next, the administrator should open the Virto Calendar Overlay app and click the "Edit Calendar" icon on the top left.
In calendar settings, the administrator will see a message on the right-hand side stating that Virto Calendar requires additional permissions.
These permissions need to be granted to the application so it can identify the type of user (site administrator, some other user with permissions, etc.) to be able to create and edit information in the application.
The administrator should click "Grant required permission."
A window with an expanded list of required permissions to use the Virto calendar will open. Click the checkbox and the "Accept" button.
There are two levels of permissions that are relevant to Virto Calendar Overlay. Please check the User Permissions for more detailed information.
To enable the calendar overlaying feature of Virto Calendar Overlay, permissions are required. However, please note that these permissions are delegated and activated only by a specific user from your company with their permission.
Open the site page where you’d like to add Virto Calendar. Switch to edit mode and click “+.” Search for Virto Calendar and add it to your page.
Now the app is ready for configuration! Click “Configure my Virto calendar.”
Now, you can create your first Virto calendar. Specify the name of the new calendar.
Then, choose a SharePoint calendar to take" data from. If you have" no appropriate SharePoint calendar on your site, you will see “No calendars existing.” In this case, you can add available Outlook calendars from the list. When you're finished, click "Create & Go."
Check out your first Virto Calendar!
VirtoSoftware doesn't store your data. Permissions are required to display to a user who opens the calendar app overlaid calendars in real-time. The tool has access to provided permissions only when this user works with Calendar Overlay Pro. A private key is generated for this session, and nobody except this user reuses it for future data access: new session—new private key.
To access the Virto Calendar permissions settings, click the cog icon in the upper right corner and click “Settings.”
Then click the “Permission” tab.
Here you will find three categories of permission settings: for a tenant, a current site, and user permissions.
In case you wish to make a calendar and data sources accessible on the particular site collection where they were created, check the box in the first set.
If, in the current site, you want to show calendars and sources from this site only, check the corresponding box.
To select users who can edit Virto Calendar, type their name/surname or email and click “+” to add them to the list of allowed users.
You can assign them the roles of calendar manager or license manager. License managers can assign calendar managers, while calendar managers can edit calendar and data source settings on the current site collection.
As you may have noticed, the possibility of editing some users is muted. These users are site collection administrators. Therefore, to remove these users from the list of allowed users, you must remove them from site collection administrators.
To edit the list of site collection administrators, you must go to your site collection settings. To do this, go to your SharePoint page, click on the cog icon in the upper right corner, and click “Site permissions.”
Then proceed to “Advanced permissions settings.”
In the top menu, you will find “Site Collection Administrators.” Click it.
Now you can edit the site administrators by typing their names to find and add new administrators or by clicking “x” to unassign any current administrator.
When you have added Virto Calendar Overlay to a SharePoint site page, you can switch between the available calendars using the calendar selector. Sometimes, however, you may need to choose a single calendar to show on the page. In this case, switch to edit mode and click the “Edit web part” icon.
In the web part settings, choose the default calendar you wish to show and uncheck the “Show calendar selector” option. Republish the page.
Now only the chosen calendar will appear on this page.
Each SharePoint list and event list has "Permissions for this list" settings. Here is how you can find them:
By default, the settings for each list are inherited from the general settings of the current site. Information about this appears in a yellow window when you go to settings. If you click on the name of the site whose permissions inherit the selected sheet, you will be brought to the permissions settings of that site.
The Permissions Levels menu will appear in the site's header. You can see all the current permissions settings for user groups by clicking it.
You can create user groups with different permissions by clicking "Add a Permission Level." You can give users permissions ranging from only viewing the sheet to complete control. Virto Calendar Overlay inherits these same permissions.
From these list permissions, only four are relevant to the Virto Calendar Overlay.
Suppose you want to configure a user's ability to add, edit, delete, and view calendar events. In that case, you must select or deselect these settings:
Add Items - the ability to add new events to the calendar
Edit Items - the ability to edit any calendar events
Delete Items - the ability to delete any calendar event
View Items - the ability to only view the calendar events in lists
Outlook Calendar has a similar logic: different permissions can be granted to various users, from "Read Only" to "Delegate" access, where an authorized user can edit and create events on behalf of another user. And Virto Calendar Overlay inherits them accordingly.
This guide shows you how to add a new calendar from a SharePoint list.
First, click the “Edit calendar” icon next to the calendar name.
Choose one of two options in the “Available calendars” tab: “Add existing data source” or “Create new SharePoint data source.”
If you add an existing data source, choose a SharePoint list from the drop-down list.
You can also find all the available lists that will be displayed in this drop-down list in the "Available SharePoint data sources" tab.
Use the checkboxes to determine whether the calendar should be read-only, whether it should be shown in the calendar, and whether events should be hidden. You can also show the data source name in tooltip.
Click “Add.” The new data source will now appear in the list.
Click “Create new SharePoint data source” to add a new source. Choose a SharePoint list from the available list and fill in the required fields: name, site URL, data source time zone, fields for event title, start date, and end date.
For a calendar to display the time correctly, make sure that datasource time zone and time zone in SharePoint settings match.
To check if they match, go to your SharePoint site, click on the gear in the upper right corner, then find "Site settings" => "Regional settings", and make sure the time zones match.
Now let's get back to datasource settings. Choose a color for the new data source. Click “Web Colors” within the color menu to pick from the full palette.
Select the fields you wish to show in the calendar tooltip. The same option is available for the event form (opens when you create or edit an event).
You can apply the same order to the fields in the form as they appear in the settings. It is also possible to disable edit/open event details from the tooltip.
When you’re ready, click “Save” to save the new data source.
Here you can find detailed information about calendars and data sources that you can overlay in Virto Calendar Overlay for SharePoint.
With Virto Calendar Overlay, you can overlay various calendars in a single calendar view. Let’s see which calendars you can use as data sources.
You can create an unlimited number of calendars with multiple data sources.
With Virto Calendar Overlay, you can combine any number of Exchange Online shared and personal calendars in a single calendar. This is the fastest way to create a calendar overlay because no special fine-tuning is required for this data source.
If you use a shared mailbox for booking meeting rooms in SharePoint, you can add it to Virto Calendar to track meeting rooms in a single place.
This is one of the most popular options to overlay calendars. Use SharePoint lists (including lists in a calendar view) as data sources for your overlay. You can overlay an unlimited number of lists in a single view.
Do you have tasks in Microsoft Planner? Add these to your Virto Calendar too.
Public folders in SharePoint are designed for shared access. Since every public folder has a mailbox, it can be easily added to the Virto calendar as a data source.
An iCalendar feed or .ics feed is a unique calendar format you can use to work with most calendar solutions. Generate iCal links and overlay events from Google Calendar or any other external calendar that supports iCalendar feeds.
Read how you can add SharePoint lists as data sources for your Virto calendar.
You can use any SharePoint list with start and end date fields as a data source for Virto calendar. Go to the guide to see how.
All the data sources available for the Virto calendar are in the “Available SharePoint data sources” tab. You can use them to create various combinations of data sources in different calendars.
The list of SharePoint data sources added to the Virto calendar is sorted in alphabetical order by default. You can change the default order using the arrows or check the box “use exact data source order” to show data sources in order of creation.
If you are a member of a large number of groups, this method is the best choice for achieving a clear visual distinction. With it, you can view group events (for your Outlook groups) separately and overlay or turn them off at any time.
To set up a separate calendar view for a user group from Outlook, follow these steps:
Open Outlook in your browser.
Go to 'Groups' in the left pane menu and locate the group you want to add. Click on it and copy its email address.
Paste the email address here and enjoy the clear visual distinction.
Virto calendar supports the overlaying of Exchange personal and shared calendars (Outlook calendars). To overlay Exchange calendars, open the calendar settings by clicking the “Edit Calendar” icon.
Scroll down to “Exchange settings” and pick the Exchange calendar you wish to show in your Virto calendar.
Chosen calendars will appear in a single calendar view.
If you are a member of a large number of groups, this view may not be convenient for certain purposes. For example, when you need to view marketing group events separately and need an option to overlay or turn them off, the following instructions for adding meeting rooms may work better.
Virto Calendar Overlay supports adding meeting rooms to a single calendar view. Many companies use shared email for booking meeting rooms, and you can add such an email address to your calendar settings to view meetings directly in your Virto calendar.
To add meeting rooms to your calendar, open the settings (using the “Edit Calendar” icon).
Scroll down to “Exchange settings” and type in the email address or addresses that your company or team uses for booking meeting rooms.
You can use the same method to add other users’ calendars as well as meeting rooms. If the chosen user shares more than one calendar, you can add all of them.
Check the box for “Display all.” Click “Save and open.”
Now your calendar includes the meeting rooms of the emails you added.
Virto Calendar Overlay supports adding tasks from Microsoft Planner to your Virto calendar for efficient collaboration and planning in teams.
To do this, go to the Virto calendar settings (using the “Edit calendar” icon).
Scroll down to “Exchange settings” and check the box “Display tasks from MS Planner.”
Remember to save the calendar settings. Now, you can see your Planner tasks in your Virto calendar without needing to switch between the apps.
The list of available calendars appears in the “Available calendars” block of Virto Calendar’s settings. To add a new calendar, click “Create New” and choose (or create) a data source as described in Adding new data source.
In this way, you can create as many calendars as you need with various combinations of data sources and switch between calendars without needing to open the settings.
Then you can switch between calendars without opening the settings.
Public folders can also be added to Virto Calendar as a data source. If you’re using public folders (created in Exchange admin center), you can overlay them in Virto calendar.
First, click the “Edit calendar” icon.
Scroll down to “Exchange settings” and check the box “Display events from Public Folders Calendar(s).”
When you save and open the calendar, added public folders will appear in your calendar.
Virto Calendar Overlay supports adding iCalendar feeds to your Virto calendar view.
An iCalendar feed or .ics feed is a unique calendar format you can use with most calendar solutions.
Its key purpose is to share calendar data between different calendars and calendar applications. Calendar Overlay Pro supports adding events from online calendars that support iCal feeds with the help of the iCalendar link.
To add events from an external calendar to your Virto calendar, you need to follow three simple steps:
Create a new Virto calendar to add the events to.
Go to the external calendar—for example, Google Calendar—and generate a calendar link.
Add the copied link to Calendar Overlay Pro (in “Internet Calendars” in calendar settings).
For the external calendar to display correctly in the Virto calendar, its link should start with https:// - if the one you have looks different, please change it manually.
iCalendar feeds are read-only. Users are allowed to view the Calendar but cannot edit it.
Go to Google Calendar and click the three-dot icon next to the calendar you’d like to share in the “My Calendars” list. Click “Settings and sharing.”
Make your Google calendar available to public.
Scroll down to the iCal format links (below the “Integrate calendar” subheading) and copy the generated iCalendar link.
Open the Virto calendar settings and paste the copied link into the “Internet Calendars” block.
All the events from the Google calendar will now appear in your Virto calendar.
Use this method to add events from any external calendar that supports the iCalendar feed.
In this section of the guide, you can find details about the “General settings” tab.
In the “General settings” tab you can change the calendar name and add a data source (from an existing data source or by creating a new one).
Data sources and basic options
You can also enable the “Add event status to title” option, use the client time zone, and define the fields displayed for multiple views (week, month, etc.).
Filter Exchange events
You can filter Exchange events by status or display all of them.
In the "General settings" tab, you can add ICS calendars from the internet by pasting in the iCal URL.
If you have too many color-coded categories, you can unify them for better visualization. See the detailed description of this option in the “Unify Categories” section. If you only want to display events in a particular category, check the box “Show events of these categories only.”
Virto Calendar Overlay supports adding locations from the available list. To choose a location for your calendar entry, just select it from the list in the calendar settings. This option saves the location field for Outlook entries as well.
Define the default calendar view (displayed when you navigate to the SharePoint site page where the calendar is added).
You can also use the general settings to determine whether or not to show the data source legend, the width of a tooltip, displayed views, and more.
Remember to save the changed settings by clicking “Save” or “Save and open” before closing the settings.
If you have multiple data sources with multiple categories, too many colors in the calendar may be confusing.
In this case, you can unify the categories. Just decide once which colors to use for each category in your calendar: divide all the events into groups, such as meetings, birthdays, or get-together events, and specify the colors for them. These colors will be the same for each data source in your calendar.
To do this, find the “Common categories” block in the “General settings” tab. Choose the colors for the categories you’re going to use.
Now all the data sources of your Virto Calendar have the same color-coded categories. But it still looks over-colored, you can hide some categories (for instance, your personal events) for all the data sources and show only the essential ones. Leave the categories you are going to use and select the checkbox “Show events of these categories only“.
Now only the chosen events will be displayed in your calendar.
The “Multiday settings” tab includes preferences for views that include more than one day. Here you can define where the week will start, day start and end hours, the width and height of columns, number of rows, and background and font colors.
In the “Month settings” tab, you can change your preferences for the month view: define the display mode, where the week starts, calendar or item height, item font size, background colors, and weeks in a month. You can also enable the option “Hide event start time on the event card.”
The “Year settings” tab allows you to define the display mode, calendar and item height; text displayed if there are more items, and background colors for the year view.
Virto Calendar Overlay supports viewing events as tasks or Gantt view. For this view, you can specify day count, column width, day start and end hours, week start day, item height, header time format, and background color.
Multisource view allows you to view all events planned for a day, grouping all the events by source. In this view, you can resize or edit events, but you cannot move events from one source to another.
Gantt view in Virto Calendar is provided in two views: task (days) and task (hours). These views allow items to be grouped by events to see exactly how much time is planned for them. In this view, you can create, delete, and drag and drop events.
Since any field of integer type can be set as a field for completion, the percentage will not be displayed if the value of the field is higher than 100 percent.
In the day, week, and work week views, you can create and delete events or drag and drop them to reschedule.
In the month view, you can create, move, and delete events.
Year view allows you to view events.
Virto Calendar Overlay provides different views of events: day, week, month, year, work week, task (days), task (hours), and multisource view. You can switch between views within the calendar to change the display.
To create an event, open the required view tab, for example, Month. Use your mouse to choose the required period of time for the event (drag&drop) or just click the day. Type in the name, select the data source, specify start and end dates, and location, and click “Save”.
Or click “Full details” to add more information to the event (for example, attendees and attachments).
You can change events' duration by dragging their border or resizing them.
Year view does not support drag & drop. Resizing events is available in the Day, Week, and Work Week views.
Click “Edit” in the tooltip to edit the event.
The panel on the top of the calendar contains a refresh button, navigation buttons, a search string, and dropdowns of categories and views.
If your calendar contains too many events, just start typing the title of the event you’re searching for and click “Search.” The calendar will filter events and display only the ones you need.
Show and hide data sources by clicking them.
You can create Microsoft Teams meetings from Virto Calendar events. Virto calendar doesn’t need to be added to Microsoft Teams as a separate tab—simply edit events in your Virto calendar and add them to your Microsoft Teams calendar as meetings.
This feature is available for the Outlook calendar data source. Make sure your Outlook calendar supports this option.
Check you have Outlook (Exchange Online) selected as a data source in your Virto calendar. To do this, open the current calendar settings with the “Edit Calendar” icon.
Scroll down to “Exchange Settings” and check you’ve chosen at least one of three Outlook exchange options.
Return to the calendar and edit the event you wish you add to Teams. Check the box “Teams meeting” and save the event.
Open your Microsoft Teams calendar and see the newly added Outlook event.
In Virto calendar, you can use recurring events if you’re using a Sharepoint Calendar or Outlook Calendar as a data source.
Let’s say you have a Virto calendar containing Outlook events. Navigate to it and create a new event. Check the “Make this a repeating event” box to display the options for recurring events.
For example, set the pattern as “every 1 day” to create a daily meeting.
Use these settings to create events that recur daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, on a specific date or only on weekdays.
You can also set an end date or set the events to end after a specific number of occurrences.
You can edit a single event or the whole series.
It is also possible to save a single recurring event to your Outlook calendar, for example, when you need to add a certain event to your Outlook calendar from the whole series. This action will generate the iCal file as described in the Add SharePoint events to Outlook.
To add SharePoint events to your Outlook calendar, create an iCalendar (.ics) file to add the event to Outlook.
In our example, a team has a corporate Virto calendar overlay with events from different data sources. Some of them are taken from Outlook, and others from SharePoint.
Let us imagine that an HR manager has just created a SharePoint events list of soft skills training sessions for the team and has added these to the Virto calendar.
We have hidden some events on the calendar to highlight the events from the “Soft Skills Master Class” data source. You can find in this training schedule the courses for improving soft skills.
HR tells the team to choose which courses they’d like to attend. Each team member can look at the calendar and add the sessions they’re interested into their own Outlook calendar by following the steps below.
Click the event and click the “Add” icon on the bottom left of the tooltip pop-up.
Save the automatically generated .ics file and click it.
Click “Copy to My Calendar” in the Outlook event window as it appears on the screen.
The chosen event will appear in your Outlook calendar with the same data as in the Virto calendar.
In this way, the team members can add any events they wish to see to their Outlook calendar and join their chosen courses according to the schedule.
Unfortunately, it is currently impossible to set up notifications of any changes made in external calendars so that you can receive them in the Microsoft ecosystem.
You can display external iCal data sources with view-only mode.
Alerts and Reminders by Virto allows you to create custom alerts, reminders, notifications, and summary emails. In addition, you can define cases in which you or your team will get email notifications. For example, you can create email templates that will be sent out to specific users when certain list changes are made, or a deadline is approaching. The app can also send out a “newsletter” – a summary email sent out every day, week, month, or once any other period.
After setting up the Alerts and Reminders app, launch it from your Site Contents folder. You will see two buttons, “Add Alert” and “Add Reminder,” on the ribbon.
Alerts – the notification you get if the value of the list item was changed, added, or deleted. In other words, the alert needs some change in a SharePoint list to be triggered.
Click “Add Alert.”
Choose a list that you want to create an alert for.
Choose the change type that you want to be notified about. Then, give a title to your alert.
Specify recipients in the “Recipients” menu.
Create an alert message that will be sent out to recipients. You can configure the template to automatically substitute the values of those parameters that change. To do it, click the “Tag” icon and specify the list of items you want to notify recipients about if they got changed.
You may also want to discover the short video instructions on how to get started with Alerts and Reminders by Virto.
In the “Options” menu, you can specify the conditions for sending an alert. For example, when a particular person makes a change to the list.
When you click “Preview,” you will see the example of an email sent out to the recipients when the alert is triggered.
The reminder settings are almost identical to the alerts; only the triggers and cases when reminders are sent differ.
A reminder is a notification based on the date in the list or document library: on the event that will happen in the future, not the one that already happened (unlike alerts). Read the “Basic options for common users” part in Alerts and Reminders documentation to get the difference and see the use cases of alerts and reminders.
Virto Calendar Overlay displays information from various sources in one place. Therefore, notifications on upcoming events or alerts on some changes in the calendar depend on the source.
Here we will describe how you can set up and manage these notifications in different sources.
To set up notification settings in Planner, go to the Planner app and click the gear icon on the ribbon. Then click “Notifications.”
Notifications settings in Planners include email and mobile push notifications. Tick the box to choose the desired settings and click “Save.”
If you want to configure notifications from your Exchange Calendar, be it your personal calendar, shared calendar, or group calendar, you should go to your Outlook settings: click the gear icon on the ribbon and then click “View all Outlook settings” at the bottom.
Go to “General => Notifications” and find all the notification settings, like in-app and desktop pop-ups, for incoming emails and events.
In “Calendar => Events and invitations” settings, you can find default reminder settings that will pop up in Microsoft Teams.
Virto Mini Calendar is a compact form of the Virto calendar with the same data sources. You can add it to a SharePoint site page where the standard version of the Virto calendar is not suitable visually but where you still need a calendar displayed.
The Mini Calendar is included in the Calendar Overlay Pro package; when you have installed Virto Calendar Pro, the Mini Calendar will also be available.
To add the Mini Calendar to a SharePoint site page, switch to edit mode and search for “Virto Mini Calendar.”
Now you can use the compact view of the Virto calendar on this page.
A compact style makes it possible to fit the Mini Calendar into your SharePoint site pages in a harmonious way. The app is compatible with various SharePoint page templates and can be added to the page with multiple columns or blocks.
Virto Mini Calendar displays items both in a calendar and as a list. The days with scheduled events are marked with a gray dot in the calendar and are color-coded in the list (check the calendar source settings to see the colors of added data sources).
Since the last update, the mini calendar shows the categories on the events in the same way as the main calendar. If you hover over a category on an item, its name will appear.
Click the eye icon to hide the calendar and display events as a list of items. This option may be especially useful when you have everyday events. In this case, the event point is less informative because you will see it for every date on your mini calendar. So just hide the calendar and view events as a list if it is more appropriate for you.
Virto Mini Calendar is easy to use and navigating between the dates is simple. Just click the event point on the date you wish to view. If you click on an empty day, the window to add an event will appear (please check your app version before you try this option).
If you click an event in the list, you will see the detailed information according to your calendar settings — schedule, attendees, importance, location, organizer, etc. The color-coded category is also shown at the bottom of the displayed block. To hide the event details, click its title once again.
The previous versions of Virto Mini Calendar allowed printing of the visible range of Mini Calendar events. We have improved this part of the app settings, and now you can print the full range of events can be printed even if they are not all visible on the screen at once.
To switch to the Calendar Overlay Pro app, click the button in the top right corner to open Calendar Overlay Pro and see the whole picture of your events.
The page with the standard Virto calendar will open.

Use the full-featured Calendar Overlay Pro by Virto during the 30-day trial period. When the trial period is over, you may still use Calendar Overlay Pro for free for up to five users.
Calendar Overlay Pro by Virto is licensed depending on the number of users with edit and read-only permissions.
For example, you plan to let ten users work with Calendar Overlay Pro. Two of them will have edit rights, and eight of them will have read-only rights. You need to purchase ten licenses for all Calendar Overlay Pro users, even though some of them will have read-only rights.
The minimum purchase for Calendar Overlay Pro by Virto is 50 users.
You can find detailed information about your current subscription in the "Subscription" tab under the gear icon.
Virto Calendar Overlay license allows you to use the application in three ways:
In any browser window as a web application by visiting https://calendar-app.virtosoftware.com/.
Directly on your SharePoint site, added as a web part.
In your Microsoft Teams, after being added as a separate tab in any channel.
Calendar Overlay Pro has a built-in auto-assign system. When a user without a license is trying to access the app, they can get the license automatically if there are some purchased unassigned licenses. The feature is activated by default, you can disable it in the "Subscription" tab of Calendar Overlay Pro app settings (under the gear icon.)
When auto-assignment is active, you can also apply the 30 days-clearing feature. Id users with a license don't use Calendar Overlay Pro for more than 30 days, the system automatically unassigns them.
The information about all Calendar Overlay Pro editions is on the product page.
You can use Calendar Overlay Pro as a part of Virto One Cloud. Virto One Cloud has three editions: standard, professional, and ultimate. Calendar Overlay Pro is included in all of them.
The minimum purchase for Virto One Cloud is 50 users.
The best way to give access to your Virto Calendar is through SharePoint. You can add an external user to your SharePoint site and provide them access to view or edit the calendar there.
First, go to the SharePoint site you'd like to share.
Once there, click the "Members" button.
Then click "Add members". In a pop up find the "go to Outlook" hint and click it.
In your Outlook that opens, click "See all members".
Then click "Add members" on the right side of the screen.
Provide the email address of the external user with whom you wish to share the site. Click "Add" once done.
The external user will receive an email invitation to access the site (by clicking "Go to SharePoint" in the email).
They will need to log in with their email and provide a single-use code they will get from Microsoft via email and accept the permission request.
Users can view the site and its content, including calendars hosted on this particular site.
Users will only see (and edit, if allowed) the Virto Calendars on a site they're permitted to view – they won't have access to all the calendars your organization may have within the same tenant.
To set up your SharePoint List alerts, open your Lists app and go to the "Alert me" menu by clicking the three dots on the ribbon.
In the pop-up, you will see all the alert settings. You can receive alerts by E-mail or by SMS. You can also choose different conditions according to which you receive alerts.
Follow the link to Microsoft support if you want to learn more about what each item in the settings means.
