Bulk File Delete by Virto supports creating conditions for deleting items. Use filters to delete a group of files from a library according to your chosen requirements.
To start, open the library and click "Bulk Delete."
Choose "Filter."
Define the conditions or set of conditions for deleting items. For example, to delete only files from the “Omega” project, we would set the project as equal to Omega.
You can combine conditions by clicking "Add conditions set."
In condition sets, you can use both "AND" and "OR" operators.
The below example uses the "OR" operator.
And this example uses the "AND" operator.
When you have finished setting the conditions, click "Delete" to complete the action.
Open a document library on your SharePoint site. Mark the files you want to delete.
You will see four options:
Whole library (you don't need to preselect files in this case; everything will be deleted, including the empty library)
All files and folders (you don't need to preselect files in this case; all files and folders will be deleted, and the library will be left epmty)
Filter (you can apply conditions for deleting files, see how in the "How to apply filters for deleted items" section)
Selected (the files you've selected will be deleted)
You can keep folders when deleting items; just select the "Keep folders" checkbox.
By default, the option "Delete to recycle bin" is active. You can restore files and folders from the recycle bin. If you need to delete files forever, untick this checkbox. Click "Delete" complete the deletion.
You can delete files, folders containing items, and subfolders or document libraries. The same actions you can do with list items in SharePoint lists.
