Offline (manual) activation

Manual activation does not require an internet connection. To activate your license from the “Unlocked” status (see the previous section) or from the “Trial” status, enter your serial number and activation code (if you’re continuing an activation from unlocked status, just enter the activation code). Click “Activate offline.”

The “Unlocked” status is an intermediate stage between the “Trial” status and the activated license. The “Unlocked” status appears when you’ve done activation, the key is correct, but it hasn’t reached our server, so the activation was not confirmed. Now you have a week or two to complete the activation. So how can you do it? There are three ways:

1. Get the activation code yourself at https://www.virtosoftware.com/offline-activation/ and do offline activation (the preferred option, which will be described in this section)

2. Talk to your administrators.

3. Contact Virto support with the key and machine code, then perform offline activation (if nothing else worked).

If the license is successfully activated, you will see its new status (“Activated”).

The licenses will stay activated in the case of changing hardware (HDD, RAM, video card, etc.) because they are related to the SharePoint ID stored in the database.
