# Password Expiration Web Part

If there is no expiration date for a user's password, users will see this text:

If the administrator has set an expiration date for a user's password, users will see this text:

*Password expiration in an on-premises Active Directory (AD) environment is configured by the administrator via **Group Policy (GPO)** in the **Default Domain Policy**, by setting the **Maximum password age** parameter under **Account Policies** to a specific number of days.*
