Sharings

People outside your organization can open a published calendar in the browser by link. They need no Microsoft account and no sign-in. Only calendar owners can publish links.

  1. Click the calendar name to open its settings and go to the Sharings tab. A new calendar must be saved first: links are published only for saved calendars.
  2. Under Publish calendar, open Select permission and choose Can view all details for a read-only link or Can edit for a link that lets people add and change events.
  3. Click Publish. The link appears under Users can view events or Users can edit events.
  4. Click Copy URL and send the link.

Unpublish turns a link off, and it stops working at once. Each time you publish a link again, it gets a new address and the previous one stops working, so send the new link to everyone who used the old one.

Edit links published before the 22 October 2026 update open the calendar read-only. To let people edit again:

  1. Open the calendar’s settings and go to the Sharings tab. Opening the tab gives the calendar a new edit link, and the old edit link stops working.
  2. Click Copy URL under Users can edit events and send the new link to the people who edit the calendar.

View links are not affected.
