# Farm settings

To access **Farm Settings** in SharePoint On-Premises, follow these steps:

## Using Central Administration:

1. Open the **SharePoint Central Administration** site.
   - This is typically accessible at a URL like `http://<server-name>:<port-number>` (e.g., `http://sharepoint1:15000`) if it was set up on the default port.
2. In Central Administration, go to the **System Settings** section.
3. Click on **Manage Farm Features** or **Manage Servers in this Farm** to view and configure farm-level settings.

## Alternative Access:

If you are unable to locate the Central Administration site:

1. Use the Windows Start menu, search for **SharePoint Central Administration**, and open it.
2. Navigate to the settings as described above.

In these settings, you can choose:

- Where to show multiple file check in/out:  
  You can control where the multiple file check in/out functionality appears. For example, unchecking "Generic" will prevent the button from showing in lists. (to enable the selection, unmark "All")
- The limit of displayed files
- A default view type
- Enable CAML/filter view
- Show file size
