Virto Timer Jobs

The Virto License Manager adds timer jobs to the Central Administration web application. Some Virto products add their own jobs to the web applications they are deployed to. The License Manager status page shows all of them with their status (see License Manager status and site license health).

  • Virto License Check Timer Job checks the licenses of the farm regularly, for example finds a serial number activated on more than one server. Do not disable it: if it does not run, Virto products show “The Virto license verification process has not run recently and may have been stopped.”

The following jobs require an internet connection. They can be disabled if this functionality is not needed.

  • Virto New Version Notification Job sends weekly alerts about available product updates.
  • Virto Notification Timer Job sends weekly alerts about expired subscriptions to the contact person’s email.
  • Virto ONE License Timer Job updates information about your Virto ONE license subscription.
  • Virto Subscription Timer Job updates information about your subscription status based on activated licenses.
