# License messages in Virto products

Virto products show the state of their license in a bar above the web part or form.

The table lists the messages and what they mean. Values in braces, such as {product} and {date}, are filled in by the product.

| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| You are using the Trial Version of {product}. It is valid within {N days}. | The built-in trial period is running. See [Product Activation](https://docs.virtosoftware.com/docs/virto-license-manager/product-activation/index.md). |
| You are using the Unlock Version of {product}. | The product is unlocked with a license key. With a Developer Edition license, for example, the product registration page shows "**Unlocked. Product has a valid Developer Edition license.**" |
| You are using the Demo Version of {product}. It is valid until {date} ({N} left). | A demo key is applied. See [Demo keys](https://docs.virtosoftware.com/docs/virto-license-manager/demo-keys/index.md). |
| Your license for {product} has expired. | The trial, demo or license period has ended. |
| It appears that an update was installed after the subscription expired. | The installed version was released after your subscription ended. |
| The Virto ONE subscription expired on {date}. {product} will stop working on {date}. | The Virto ONE subscription has expired. The second date is when the product stops working. |
| The demo key for {product} allows {N} web front-end server(s), but the farm now has {M}. | The farm has more web front-end servers than the demo key allows. See [Demo keys](https://docs.virtosoftware.com/docs/virto-license-manager/demo-keys/index.md). |
| A duplicate activation of the same license was detected. Activating one license on more than one server is not allowed. | The same serial number is active on more than one server. The License Manager status page lists the serial number and its servers under **Duplicate activations**. See [License Manager status and site license health](https://docs.virtosoftware.com/docs/virto-license-manager/license-manager-status-and-site-license-health/index.md). |
| The Virto license verification process has not run recently and may have been stopped. | The **Virto License Check Timer Job** has not run recently. Its status is shown on the License Manager status page. See [License Manager status and site license health](https://docs.virtosoftware.com/docs/virto-license-manager/license-manager-status-and-site-license-health/index.md). |
| The Virto Web License Manager installed on this farm ({version}) is older than this product requires ({version}). | The License Manager on the farm is older than the version the product requires. See [Installing and updating the License Manager](https://docs.virtosoftware.com/docs/virto-license-manager/installing-and-updating-the-license-manager/index.md). |

The messages are shown in the language of the site (English, German, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Danish, Spanish, Czech, Swedish, Chinese, Polish).
