# Installation

You install Virto Charts App as a separate tab in a Teams channel of your choice and use the full-featured app right in Teams.

> **Note:** Virto Charts App is free to install and use. It is not listed in the Microsoft Teams app store: you download the app package from our website and add it to Teams as a custom app.

## Install the app

1. Download the app package (a ZIP file) from the [Virto Charts product page](https://www.virtosoftware.com/microsoft-teams/virto-charts-app/) with the **Get for Free** button.

2. In Microsoft Teams, go to **Apps**, select **Manage your apps**, then **Upload an app** and **Upload a custom app**. Choose the downloaded ZIP file.

   If **Upload a custom app** is not available, your organization does not allow users to upload custom apps. Ask your Teams administrator to upload the package to your organization's app catalog: the app then appears under **Built for your org** in **Apps**, and you open it from there.

3. In the Virto Charts dialog, click **Add**, choose the team channel where you'd like to add Virto Charts and click **Go**. Teams opens the tab setup; confirm it with **Save**.

   To add Virto Charts to another channel later, open that channel and click the **plus** icon next to the channel tabs, then choose Virto Charts.

Virto Charts App is now available as a separate tab in the chosen Teams channel.
