Chart Types
Virto Charts App offers five chart types. This page describes the settings and filters of each type and how to print or save a chart. To add a chart to a dashboard, see Creating a chart.
Status
The Status chart displays tasks by their status.

You can display all the tasks from the chosen list or apply filters. For example, to show only the tasks with a due date in the last 30 days, first choose Due Date:

Then pick the period Last 30 days in the dates dropdown.

You can also use this chart to track a budget. Just make sure the list has the appropriate field.
Members
The Members chart works the same way: it shows the tasks by the chosen field, grouped by assignee. In the chart settings, choose the field to display. For example, if you choose Priority, the tasks are displayed by their priority and by the people they are assigned to.

Besides the assignee, you can group by users from the Created By or Modified By field.

The Members chart can display all tasks grouped by assignee:

You can also apply filters. For example, to show the tasks created within a chosen period, choose the Created field:

Then define the period.

Completion
Use the Completion chart to see which tasks were completed in time and which are overdue. In the chart settings, choose the field to display: Priority, Task Status, Labels, Project or Goal.

For this chart type, also pick a due date field: Start Date, Due Date, Modified or Created.

The chart shows the share of tasks completed in time and overdue:

Apply filters by choosing parameters from the dropdown:

You can also pick a period:

And filter the data by the chosen field to display, for example, by status:

Note: this chart shows only the tasks with a due date set.
If some tasks have no due date, the chart shows a notification with their number. To include these tasks in the chart, go to the source list and set their due dates.

Burndown
The Burndown chart shows the tasks left to do. In the chart settings, define the field to display: Priority, Task Status, Labels or Project.

For the Burndown chart, choose the period:

The Burndown chart also needs the Display as Open and Display as Done fields:
![]()
For example, you may want to count tasks that are in progress, deferred or waiting on someone else as open tasks:

Now define the tasks to count as completed:

This way you can see whether the project is healthy and the team works well.

Lead Time
The Lead Time chart shows how much time passed between the moment a task was created and the moment it was completed. On this chart you can compare the values for a recent period with the values for the whole period.
For this chart, choose the fields to display (see the chart legend) and the period:

For example, in the screenshot below the tasks are grouped by product, and you can see the time spent on tasks for the whole period and for the last 7 days.

The Lead Time chart is especially useful for tracking support team tickets or analyzing telesales work.
Print or save a chart
You can print any chart or save it as an image or a PDF file. Supported image formats are PNG, JPEG and SVG. Open the export menu of the chart and choose the required option.
