# Joining Zoom and Google Meet Meetings From a Calendar Event

Virto Calendar App recognizes Zoom and Google Meet links in an event. Add the meeting link to the event description, and the calendar shows the platform's icon next to the event name and a **Join** button in the event details. ## Add the meeting link to an event

1. Create the meeting in Zoom or Google Meet and copy its link.
2. In Virto Calendar App, create a new event, or click an existing event and then **Edit**.
3. In the **Description** toolbar, click **Insert link** (the chain icon).

4. In the **Insert Link** dialog, paste the meeting link into **URL**, type the text readers will see in **Alternate text** (for example, "Zoom meeting link"), and click **Ok**.

5. Save the event.

## Join the meeting from the calendar

The event now shows the Zoom or Google Meet icon next to its name in the calendar. Click the event to open its details and click **Join**: the meeting opens in Zoom or Google Meet.
